Yale

The Yale water system service area was established in 1979 by the Regional District of Fraser-Cheam and was converted to a Fraser Valley Regional District service area in 1999. The water system serves the townsite of Yale, in Electoral Area B. There are approximately 80 customer accounts on this water service. The source water for this system is groundwater. A 570-m3 reservoir provides storage for the system.

Emergency Response Plan

The Drinking Water Protection Regulation requires that emergency response and contingency plans are developed for each water system. These plans identify roles and responsibilities of the regional district in the event of an emergency that affects the water supply. The plans also identify contingency measures to be put in place in the event of a loss of water.

To report a water problem in your area, please call the Engineering and Environmental Services Department at 1-800-528-0061.
