Each sewer system services a specifically defined area or community. To connect to a sewer system, you must:

• Know which system you wish to join;
• Petition into the service area if your property is not already within it;
• Complete the appropriate application forms; and
• Pay the required connection fees and charges.

If you are constructing a new home, application forms for connecting to a sewer system are often included in your building permit application package.
