The Fraser Valley Regional District’s Outdoor Recreation Guide is an online service that provides information on some of the world-class hiking opportunities that are available throughout the Fraser Valley. This service includes an interactive web map as well as a searchable database containing numerous hiking trails for all skill levels, from popular favourites to hidden gems. Trails can be searched by map as well as by name, general area, difficulty, or duration. Once a trail has been selected, directions to the trailhead, a trail description, and a trail map are available for download.
The Outdoor Recreation Guide has been made possible by funding through the Province of British Columbia’s Community Tourism program. This program was established to help local governments showcase local communities and highlight regional tourism opportunities. The Regional Planning Department oversaw the development of the Outdoor Recreation Guide.

- Moderate: A short trail, 5km to 10km or half to a full day with moderate elevation change
- Difficult: A long trail, 10km to 15km or full to multiple days with moderate elevation change
- Very Difficult: A longer trail, greater than 15km or full to multiple days with substantial elevation change
Rules and Regulations:
Some of the permitted and prohibited trail uses are identified in the Outdoor Recreation Guide. A quick reference to the signs that are used to describe these uses can be found
