FAQs
Q: Which park can I take my dog to?

A: Thacker, Island 22, Thompson, Cascade Falls, Dewdney Nature and Deroche permit dogs on leash. Island 22 also has a designated off-leash area.

Q: Why can I not take my dog to Cheam Lake Wetlands or Neilson Park?

A: These parks have sensitive habitat and wildlife and also cater to children educational groups and therefore are not suitable for dogs, even on leash.

Q: How can I arrange an interpretive tour of Cheam Lake Wetlands or Thacker Park?

A: Click here to view our interpretive programs and contacts.

Q: Does it cost to have an interpretive tour?

A: FVRD Parks is pleased to offer this service for free. Donations are accepted and are put towards interpretive materials and equipment.

Q: Are there any job opportunities in FVRD Parks?

A: Click here to view job postings within the FVRD.

Q: Where can I go camping in the FVRD?
