The District of Kent/Agassiz boasts the friendly community spirit of a regional farming community and is located at the Upper Fraser Valley of British Columbia's southwest coastal region. Surrounded on the north by Harrison Lake and Green Mountain, on the west by Harrison River, on the south by the Fraser River and on the east by Hope and the Fraser Canyon, much of the District is made up of the rich and fertile alluvial floodplain of the Fraser River.
The District of Kent, including the Community of Agassiz, has a population of just over 5000 and offers all the conveniences one might need.
Steep canyon-like walls along the Harrison River, the heights and crags of Mt. Woodside and Green Mountain and spectacular views of the Cheam Mountain range along the south side of the Fraser River offer spectacular vistas and topographic relief from the vast expanses of our productive farmlands. The very popular stretch of Highway #9 that passes through the District has been used several times for filming including the movie X-Men 3.
