The City of Chilliwack is strategically located in the Upper Fraser Valley and is known for its natural beauty as well as its urban and rural charm. Chilliwack is a 90-minute drive from downtown Vancouver, 50-minutes from Bellingham, WA and only two hours from Seattle, WA.

Chilliwack is known for its rivers, farmlands, roads, rural settings and urban attributes including its identifiable Main Street, which all combines into great locations for directors and producers who are looking to film in Chilliwack. The Cascade mountain range and vast farmland provide a majestic backdrop for Chilliwack’s rural setting. Chilliwack is perfect for filming features, movies of the week, television series and commercials.

A number of feature films and television series have filmed in Chilliwack such as Eureka, seasons I&II starring Colin Ferguson, Smallville, Partition, Dungeon Siege, The Last Mimzy and White Chicks. Chilliwack also served as a film location for commercials such as Kohl’s Department Store, Ford Mustang, Volkswagen Touareg and Molson Canadian.

Chilliwack offers accommodations, facilities, and infrastructure required by the film industry. The Chilliwack Film Commission will assist you in finding a location as well as obtaining all the necessary information and arrangements required before arriving. We will also help facilitate the application and permit processes acting as a liaison between the City of Chilliwack and other appropriate government agencies.
