The communities located in the Fraser Valley Regional District's seven electoral areas are depend on volunteer fire departments for fire protection and fighting services. There are currently seven volunteer fire departments in the district. These departments have approximately 150 volunteer fire fighters and eleven fire halls located throughout the electoral areas.
