The Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) provides a variety of emergency preparedness and response services.
Please explore this section of the FVRD site for information about how you can prepare yourself and help equip your community for a quick and positive response in the face of natural or man-made disasters.
Joint Emergency Preparedness Program (JEPP)
The Joint Emrgency Preparedness Program (JEPP) enables the Government of Canada (through Public Safety Canada) to contribute to, or jointly undertake, projects with the provinces and territories in support of a uniform level of emergency preparedness and response across Canada. JEPP cost sharing assistance is available to local governments for their Emergency Management Programs.
The FVRD was successful in obtaining funding from this program to purchase equipment and supplies for our Mobile Emergency Operations Centre / Incident Command Post. We are grateful for this partership that helps the Fraser Valley Regional District be prepared to respond to emergencies or disasters in our regional district.
