The Rexford Creek debris basin, which is owned and operated by the Fraser Valley Regional District is designed to protect the Williamsburg development from natural hazards associated with debris flow and / or debris flood events.

Williamsburg development consists of approximately 30 residential lots located 4.5 km east of the Vedder Crossing Bridge on Hirschman Road.
