The Fraser Valley Regional District provides land use planning and community planning services throughout the district. These projects range from the development of Official Community Plans to the development of pilot projects for regional resources.

Land use planning and community planning is important within the Fraser Valley Regional District, specifically in rural areas where there is a reliance on the natural resource industry and agriculture. Land use and community planning ensures that there is a sustainable future for these communities.
