The BC Heritage Branch and the FVRD are collaborating on a Community Heritage Study for the Fraser Canyon. A team of consultants, headed by Denise Cook of Denise Cook Design, was engaged to undertake the preparation of a Community Heritage Context Study and a Heritage Strategic Plan.

The Fraser Canyon spans Electoral Areas A and B north of Hope. It includes the following communities:

• Boston Bar
• North Bend
• Spuzzum
• Canyon Alpine
• Boothroyd
• Dogwood Valley
• American Creek
