Incorporated in 1949, the Village of Harrison Hot Springs has a population of about 1,300. It is located at the south end of Harrison Lake, 124 km east of Vancouver and 8 km north of Agassiz.

In addition to regional planning, the Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) works in collaboration with the Village of Harrison Hot Springs to provide the following services:
- building inspection,
- mapping,
- regional parks,
- air quality,
- mosquito control,
- E911 dispatch fire service,
- search and rescue.
